Carboxytherapy Cellulite Toronto

Carboxytherapy Cellulite Treatment Toronto

Carboxytherapy is a unique procedure offered at Bellair Laser Clinic which is an injection of C02 gas below the skin with the use of a 30.5 gauge mesotherapy needle. The treatment is virtually painless and quick. There is no downtime with this procedure.

Carboxytherapy is used for the treatment of cellulite and may be as well for fat reduction. Carboxytherapy works as follows; it improves circulation at the injection site by forcing red bloods cells to release oxygen and pick up C02 to be eliminated by the body. This process of oxygenating the area of concern allows for improved healing by nourishing the skin, in turn building and remodelling collagen and elastin in the area which ultimately smooths out cellulite. This is a natural reponse from the body. The process leaves the skin tighter, brighter and smoother. This treatment works well with the application of the SpaRF as it heats the subdermal layers of the skin, mechanically smoothing out cellulite as well. Combination therapy gaurantees lasting results.

Fat cells are very sensitive to C02 gas. The process weakens and destroys fat cells which results in fewer fat cells for body contouring. This treatment is often combined with B12 injections and cellulite treatment for fat reduction.

Carboxytherapy started in France and has been widely used for over 70 years with no major side effects. Its aesthetic use is now commonplace in Europe and is now gaining popularity in North America. Bellair Laser Clinic is a leading provider of carboxytherapy in North America.

What Is Cellulite

Cellulite consists of the dimpled appearance of skin caused by fat deposits that are just beneath the skin. It generally appears on skin in the abdomen, lower limbs, and pelvic region. Most often, cellulite manifests itself in adult life on many areas of the body.

Cellulite is located at the subcutaneous fatty layer. There are 3 different grades of cellulite:

Grade 1 classification sees no clinical symptoms, but a microscopic examination of cells from the area detects underlying anatomical changes.

Grade 2 cellulite requires the skin to show pallor (pastiness), be lower temperature, and have decreased elasticity in addition to anatomical changes noted by microscopic examinations.

Grade 3 cellulite has visible roughness of the skin (like an orange peel) along with all grade 2 signs.

If you think you have some form of cellulite, we at Bellair Laser Clinic can help starting with a complimentary consultation, followed by carboxytherapy and the Velashape cellulite treatment for great results.

Carboxytherapy FAQs

How Is Carboxytherapy Performed?
CDT is a non surgical technique where by CO2 is infiltrated into the subcutaneous fat via the smallest needle available (30G). From one injection point the carbon dioxide diffuses easily into adjacent tissues so you won’t feel like a pin cushion. Treatments take 15-20 minutes.
How Does Carboxytherapy Work?
Carboxy Therapy works in three complimentary ways. First, when injected into the subcutaneous fat CO2 mechanically breaks down the fat (lysis). Secondly, it produces a strong vasodilatory effect, increasing blood flow to the area which stimulates the metabolism of fat and remodelling of scar tissue. Finally, improved circulation means more oxygen and nutrients delivered to the skin stimulating the production of collagen which revitalizes the skin’s texture and firmness, and thus improving the appearance of cellulite.
Is Carboxytherapy Painful?
No. Often described as uncomfortable, yet 95% of patients find it tolerable enough to complete the required 10 session. As a result of the increased circulation, the treated area will be red and feel warmer for up to 20 minutes.
How Long Will The Benefits Last?
For cellulite, with monthly maintenance treatments, eating healthy and regular exercise, result will last indefinitely. If you are unable to keep up the maintenance sessions or healthy eating and exercise then the cellulite will begin to creep back on average in 5 to 6 months. It’s like going to the gym the more you go the better you will look the longer it will last. If you stay on top of it, 3 to 4 sessions will get you back to smoother firmer skin.
