LASER TATTOO REMOVAL
Laser is considered the most effective and common treatment for tattoo removal. Previously, removing tattoos with multiple colours meant using multiple lasers. At Bellair Laser Clinic we use the Candela AlexTriVantage™ Laser for Tattoo removal which is the most powerful q-switched laser for tattoo removal. This technology allows us to treat all colours safely and effectively. The AlexTriVantage™ is the most sophisticated laser for tattoo removal.
How Does Laser Tattoo Removal Work?
The laser works by selective thermolysis. By targeting the ink with pulses of highly concentrated light, the laser breaks the ink into tiny fragments. These fragments of ink are then cleared away from your immune system. With multiple sessions, the tattoo will fade and in most cases, become eliminated completely. With this advanced technology scarring is minimal and most of the time non-existent, but this can vary depending on the situation.
The Procedure
The procedure begins with the use of topical numbing which is applied to the skin for half an hour in order to minimize discomfort. Although the AlexTriVantage™ is the gentlest and most comfortable laser for tattoo removal, some discomfort is expected. The procedure is performed by a highly qualified technician or registered nurse. Depending on the size of the area and the colour of the tattoo, the treatment ranges from 10 to 30 minutes.

Amateur tattoos require 3-6 sessions on average, Professional tattoos require 8-12 on average. Treatments are 6-8 weeks apart.
Prices start at $130 per session. The vast majority of tattoos fall between the $150 and $220 per session range. Pricing depends on the size of the tattoo but more so, the amount of pigment and detail in the tattoo. A very detailed tattoo the size of the palm of your hand would be in the $150 to $200 range per treatment. A tattoo without a lot of detail, which is not coloured in very much or with more outlines can be the same price even if it were 4 times the palm of the hand. Those are just a few examples of what the pricing may be determined, however, we welcome you to come in for a complimentary consultation so we may assess the area and give you an accurate quote.
Packages: If you purchase 5 sessions, the 6th is complimentary. If we feel that you would require 12 sessions, the cost would be the price of 9 sessions. We also offer discounts for multiple tattoos.
