Q: How does BOTOX® Cosmetic work?
A:  BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein which prevents the muscles on the face from activity that causes frown lines between the brows, around the eyes and on the forehead that form over time.

Q: How long does the treatment take?
A:  The treatment takes only 10 to 15 minutes.

Q: How long does the treatment last?
A:  The treatment lasts anywhere from 3 to 4 months.

Q: How long does it take to see the results of the treatment?
A:  Results may start to notice results anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks post treatment.

Q: What does the treatment feel like?
A:  No anesthesia is required, however we may numb the area with a cold pack or anesthetic cream prior to injecting. Discomfort is usually minimal and brief.

Q: What should I expect post treatment?
A: Slight swelling at the injection site may be present post treatment which is temporary. There is no downtime with this procedure.

Q: Will Botox help improve the overall complexion of the skin?
A:  Injectables is used strictly for dynamic expression lines. It does not improve the actual skin texture, non-dynamic expression lines or even out the skin tone. For the ultimate anti-aging treatment, Botox could be combined with laser treatments for the skin such as the Fraxel Laser treatment, Titan, Photorejuvenation or Laser Genesis. Combination therapy is a great option for targeting multiple skin concerns.
