The Bellair Laser Group of Clinics, winner of the 2011 Consumer Choice Award, is a cosmetic-medical center offering only FDA approved, result-oriented skin care and hair removal technologies.

As Director of Bellair Laser Clinic, Dr. Greg Pugen is the physician overseeing the medical-cosmetic procedures at the clinics. He works closely with the management team, especially with Johana Amar, the full-time, on-site Registered Nurse ensuring the highest standards are adhered to by the entire team for safe, effective treatments, particularly in the application of Botox and Fillers.

An Alumni of the University of Toronto Medical School, Dr. Pugen has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. Currently, he is also the Director of a successful anti-aging clinic for both men and women with emphasis on menopause, andropause and anti-aging treatments designed to improve the overall quality of life.

Dr. Pugen uses natural bio-identical hormone replacement including neutraceuticals, injection therapy and cosmetic and hormonal facial fillers. His medical knowledge stems, in part, from extensive, rigorous and advanced training in the field of injection therapy acquired in Europe as well as the United States.

Johana Amar, RN
Medical Supervisor

Johana Amar is beyond a doubt one of the clinic's foremost assets.

After completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1991 at the University of Alberta, Ms. Amar worked at the Toronto General Hospital for a decade, gaining vast surgical and management experience in a variety of fields including plastics, oral, vascular, cardiac, urology and organ transplants.

In 2003, Ms. Amar joined the celebrated facial-cosmetic plastic surgeon, Dr. David Ellis at his practice developing her knowledge of Botox and injectables as well as the application of laser skin services. To this day she consults frequently with Dr. Ellis.

Her quest to broaden her horizons coupled with her relentless desire to help the underprivileged, led Ms. Amar to join Doctors Without Borders in 2002 as a health advisor in various continents. Her field experience took her to Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, Colombia, Thailand, Sierra Leone, Iraq and Palestine to mention a few nations. Working with an experienced medical team from Doctors Without Borders, she was responsible for carrying out mass vaccination drives in a number of developing countries.

She has an impressive worldwide attendance and speaking record at conferences, forums and symposium covering a wide spectrum of global health issues.

Ms. Amars international experience culminated in Athens, Barcelona and Paris, where she served a combined 3 years as a health advisor to Doctors Without Borders.

Currently Johana Amar is the supervising nurse at Bellair Laser Clinics where she personally applies the Botox and injectables and serves as an advisor for the laser treatments conducted at the clinics.
